What's new
The main changes of each SyncKai version, in a few words.
Disney+, more imports and the side panel everywhere
- Disney+ support (optional, Japanese anime only), synced at the start of the credits like on Crunchyroll.
- Import your ADN and Netflix watch history, with the same preview as the Crunchyroll import.
- The side panel opens on any page and follows the active tab. New shortcut: Alt+Shift+1.
- Remove an anime from your lists, or add a comment to its entry, right from SyncKai.
- Many season-matching fixes on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Disney+ (One Piece arcs, sequels published separately).
Netflix numbering fix
- Netflix: series whose seasons continue the numbering (like One Piece) no longer get the previous seasons' episodes added again.
Reliability: your progress never goes backwards
- After a full audit, writes to the same series run one after another: your progress never goes backwards.
- Your AniList and MyAnimeList sign-ins are now encrypted in your browser.
- Each account keeps its own data: nothing from an old account is written to a new one.
- The season you pick by hand is remembered for the next episodes.
- The end of an episode is detected more reliably: autoplay, background tabs, slow players.
Netflix joins Crunchyroll and ADN
- Netflix support, optional and for anime only: turn it on in Settings › Playback & sync.
- Only series that AniList links to Netflix are synced; other titles are ignored silently.
- Side panel and live progress on Netflix playback pages too.
Side panel, schedule and Crunchyroll import
- A side panel beside the video: the AniList entry, your progress, the sequels and a link to the episode discussion.
- This week's releases for the series you're watching, with the estimated time on Crunchyroll or ADN.
- Import your Crunchyroll history, with a preview before anything is written.
- Redesigned settings, grouped by category, with quick toggles.
- More reliable season matching: specials, OVAs and seasons split in two are no longer mixed up.
